Babysitting

The power of storytelling through photography is at times underestimated, but this absolutely beautiful collection of photos from the IBM “The World is Our Lab” photo competition serves as a reminder of how powerful imagery can be.

IBM recognized that in order to truly shape innovation on the African continent, the voices of those who live there are most important. Anybody with access to a camera (or a mobile phone) was invited to submit photos highlighting the continent’s challenges.

The photo selected here, entitled ‘Babysitting’, is a very real reminder of the immense responsibilities many children on the African continent bear.
